Weapon Choices

I'm too tired atm, but we should contribute a list of weapons that would be good to use for a melee specced Mystic, and rate them or rank them. Just a thought, since I'm looking for some nice ones atm.

Serpent Skewer from Labs pops into mind as one handed spear. Combined with that buckler from the werewolf in FTH it should do decent damage.

If you want to go with a one handed spear than you want.

(235 * 2) / 3.5 delay = 134 DPS

The serpentile spear from labs only has a rating of 120ish and far less hp/power and stats. not to mention the proc is not great on the spearentile spear.

I was planning on making a Mystic Gear thread, with the best choices for a healing mystic and the best choices for a DPS mystic. I will probably take the info generated in this thread and merge it with that one when i get the chance to make it.

With a 102 damage rating (Not sure what /weaponstats would show), 40 WIS and FT8 I don't think you can go wrong.

Where does the Spear of the Mighty Grutaan come from?

ok, so I figured out the math at least.
Tarinax's Spine =
(154 * 2) / 2.0 Delay = 154 DPS

I use the Staff of cultivation.

That SoB hit for a ton plus (3885 is my high hit atm, plus or minus a few)
The 3.8k is in raid, but self buffed I think it hits for about 2k.(this is with 100% melee crit)

The only draw back is the 8.0 second delay, but you cast all your shit in that delay then hit again.

When Rage is up its nice 6-7k damage in an instant.

Coming back from a long hiatus so way behind in what new weapons are available. I've read that a good 2H is best for a mostly soloing mystic, but which crafted 2H would you recommend for a melee mystic still leveling to 80?

I would like to know as well. I couldn't find any void shard 2h weapon or any craftable ones for dps. I think we are stuck only from drops from raids.
